National professional networks

  • The Academic Forum of MIL Research (Akademiskt forum för MIK-forskning) is a national network for Swedish researchers interested in the study of media and information literacy, run by Nordicom in collaboration with the Swedish Agency for the Media (Mediemyndigeten, former Swedish Media Council, Statens medieråd). I founded the network in 2020 and represent researchers in the national multistakeholder network MIL Sweden (Nätverket MIK Sverige) coordinated by the Swedish Agency for the Media.
  • Finnish Critics’ Association (SARV) (Suomen arvostelijain liitto – Finlands kritikerförbund) is the professional union for art critics in Finland that I share a long history with. I am part of the Arvostelijapankki portal and occasionally write essays for the cultural magazine Kritiikin Uutiset – Kritikernytt.
  • The Finnish Association of Non-Fiction Writers (Suomen tietokirjailijat – Finlands facklitterära författare) is an association for professional writers of non-fiction and textbooks in Finland. I’m a member since 2015.
  • The Swedish Association of Educational Writers (Läromedelsförfattarna) is an association for authors of educational books and materials in Sweden. I’m a member since 2023.
  • Finnish Society of Media Education (Mediakasvatusseura – Sällskapet för mediefostran) is an association for practitioners and researchers of media literacy in Finland.
  • Sweden-Finnish Research Network (Ruotsinsuomalainen tutkimusverkosto – Sverigefinskt forskningsnätverk) is a network for researchers and everyone interested in research-based evidence on the national minority of Sweden-Finns, co-founded with Leena Huss in 2022, and run by the Association of Sweden-Finnish Research that I co-founded with Leena Huss and Iines Turunen in 2024. The network is part of the initiative Forskning & den nationella minoriteter sverigefinnar, a portal dedicated to research that deals with the national minority of Sweden-Finnish and Finnish language in Sweden.
